God Gives Talent – 7

Shabbat Shalom (שבת שלום = A Peaceful Sabbath)

I heard a missionary sing this song at our little church when I was just a kid and I cried as I listened to the story being told in the song. It must have been a calling by the Holy Spirit way back then, because now I hand out gospel tracts everywhere I go, whether it’s shopping, to the gas station, to the post office, you name it, that’s where I go with my gospel tracts and I hand them out to everyone I communicate with. I just smile and say something like, “Can I give you some good news?” And I give them the gospel tract. I have handed out hundreds of them and only five people have ever refused to receive one.

I found this song again on You Tube in recent years. I like to think of it as my song. I hope it becomes your song too. God bless you.

They say he ran a carnival, he used to come to town, till one September afternoon, he shut it down.

They tell me something happened, some say he lost his mind; now most September afternoons, this is what you find:

An old man on the corner where he used to sell his show, now he shouts what sounds like foolishness, as the people come and go.

New lives for old, warm hearts for cold; have I got a deal for you today, come on, step right this way, get your new lives for old.

He puts it in the paper, he goes from door to door; the people say, He’s such a fool, he’ll come back for more.

Old friends are mostly puzzled, they don’t know what to say, cause ever since that afternoon, he’s just been that way. It’s like the old man died and someone came to take his place. Now he just stands out there yelling, with a smile upon his face:

New lives for old, warm hearts for cold; have I got a deal for you today, come on, step right this way, get your new lives for old.

Remembering this story, as I once passed through that town, I thought I ought to stop and see if he’s still around.

There was someone on that corner, where I heard he’d always stand.

He chuckled when I asked him where I could find the man. He said, Thank God, that crazy fool finally died last spring.

And I said, I’ll take up where he left off then, cause I’m pushing the same thing –

New lives for old, warm hearts for cold; have I got a deal for you today, come on, step right this way, to get your new lives for old.

New lives for old, warm hearts for cold; have I got a deal for you today, come on, step right this way, to get your new lives for old.

Spirits of darkness are constantly warring to put out the light of this world, Jesus.

While I was praying this morning, a bright light appeared before me. I am familiar with this light; it is the manifestation of the light of Christ Jesus.

I saw the light before my eyes, as the Lord comforted me, because I was distressed about the condition of the world, and even some of God’s people.

As I marveled at the light of Christ, darkness tried to cover the light, but the light of Christ prevailed each time and His light overcame the darkness. This happened three times, then the Lord opened my mouth and spoke these Words for us, the overcoming saints:

You are the light of the world (Philippians 2:15)

Overcome the darkness with the light of Christ (Acts 26:18)

Stay in the Word daily (Psalms 1:2; 2 Timothy 2:15)

Stay in consistent prayer and praise and songs of praise (1 Thessalonians 5:17; Psalms 34:1; Ephesians 5:19), instead of allowing idle thoughts to enter your mind (Matthew 15:19)

He that overcomes, I will grant to eat of the Tree of Life (Revelation 2:7)

Look up, for your redemption draws near (Luke 21:28)

After I received these things from the Lord, immediately a passage of scripture came to my mind, so I will include it with this exhortation from the Lord:

“Blessed are those servants whom the Master, when He comes, will find watching. Assuredly I say to you that He will gird Himself and have them sit down to eat and will come and serve them” Luke 12:37.

Jesus said that during the time of the flood, people were eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, right up to the day that Noah went into the ark. They were unaware of what was happening, until the flood came and swept them all away (Matthew 24:36-44).

Eat This and Die!

There is a considerable line-up of “Christian” denominations that believe in the doctrine of Calvinism, “once you’re saved, you are always saved.” Live like the devil, if you will, but you can never lose your salvation.

Jesus said,

“If you love Me, keep My commandments” John 14:15.

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, is he who loves Me…and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him” John 14:21.

“If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love” John 15:10.

If we don’t keep God’s commandments, none of the above applies to us, lest Jesus be made a liar!

In fact, there is a scripture about those who backslide and have no hope of ever returning to the Lord. It is important to understand that this doesn’t apply to every Christian; it only applies to those who have been “enlightened,” who have received the gift of the “Holy Ghost” and have tasted of the “powers” of the world to come. If these turn away from God, it is “impossible” to renew them again to repentance; they are lost forever:

“It is impossible for those who were once enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good Word of God and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance, seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh and put Him to an open shame” Hebrews 6:4-6 (emphasis added).

This one scripture alone, although there are many, makes Calvinism, the doctrine of eternal security, a lie, heresy – that will send people to hell!

Again, this condition of being turned over to a reprobate mind, irredeemable, does not apply to Christians who fail the Lord in some way, perhaps sin in a state of weakness, but who repent and surrender all to the Lord again. This condition applies only to those who have received the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2), who have not only sinned, but have “fallen away” completely and put the Son of God to an open shame, because they not only sin, but continue in a state of unrepentant sin. These are reprobate, because of the magnitude of what was given to them, which they threw off as trash!

There is a difference between falling, repenting, and getting back up and serving the Lord; versus falling away and living in continual, unrepentant sin(s); a big difference.

Although we strive toward the mark of perfection, Christians sometimes fall. Those who get back up, repent and continue in this race (Hebrews 12:1) will not be denied by the Lord.

The message given to us in the Holy Word of God is: do not trifle with God; do not treat the holy things given to you as trash, tossing them aside for the sins of the world; do not bring a reproach to the holy, Most Holy, name of God, or you may be cut off – without remedy!

“He, being often reproved, who hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed without remedy” Proverbs 29:1.

Many people have said, and continue to say, we cannot live without sin; we are only human.

Jesus came in the flesh to prove that we can live holy in this flesh, which brings a passage of scripture to my mind:

“This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come, for men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof; from such turn away” 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (emphasis added).

Paul, here, is talking about people who claim to be Christians, “having a form of godliness…”

Denying the power thereof…The power of what? Just what Paul was discussing, “godliness,” the power to live a godly life; they deny the power to live godly! “From such turn away.” Get away from “Christians” who say, “We don’t have the power to live godly!”

The Word of God tells us,

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13.

Do we love God even as much as we love our bodies?

Who among us would dare eat a peanut if we are allergic to peanuts? A peanut can kill a person who is allergic to peanuts!

Who would decide to keep bees that also have anaphylactic reactions to bees?

No one!

Isn’t the consequence of sin, hell, eternal hell fire, more important than an allergic reaction to peanuts, or a bee sting? Apparently, some don’t think so. God, however, is not ignorant of their lack of sincerity, those who live in sin, but claim to be His people.

The bottom line is this, the same “Christians” that say they must sin, simply want to sin! That same person wouldn’t touch a peanut, or a bee, if they were allergic to them. That same person is a hypocrite and Jesus said this about hypocrites:

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones and of all uncleanness” Matthew 23:27.

This is God’s commandment to His people:

“I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service” Romans 12:1.

UFOs Spotted By US Navy Jet Pilots

Screen shot: YouTube.com

So, perhaps you don’t believe in God, the supernatural, or anything else that your range of analytical thinking cannot explain. Watch the following videos and then, even if you refuse to believe in God, or that the Son of God is the Savior of the world, who is soon to return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, maybe you will at least believe in UFOs.

If after watching, you decide to believe in UFOs, why not believe in the Creator of all things, the One from whom all of this technology flows? These things are actually described in the Bible. Please read on…

This footage of two US Navy jet pilots spotting UFOs, provided by BBC News, was released by the Department of Defense:

Tucker Carlson with Fox News interviewed one of those pilots, David Fravor, and here is what he had to say:

Whether or not anyone wants to believe it, this technology is heavenly, of the spiritual realm, another dimension, and it has come to our universe through fallen angels. The UFOs described are driven, or rather given their guidance and propulsion, by the offspring of fallen angels, who become nephilim spirits after their decease (Book of Enoch 15-16).

Art Bell interviewed retired Colonel Philip Corso in 1997, on Coast to Coast radio: (https://youtu.be/1Uv9DIkM7K0). Col Corso saw an extraterrestrial being that died during the Roswell, New Mexico, crash in 1947, and he wrote a book, “The Day After Roswell,” about his experiences during the Roswell crash and the investigations that followed.

Col Corso said that Research and Development was repeatedly unsuccessful in replicating the spaceship for quite some time, until they discovered that the beings were part of the spacecraft. Their bodies were actually “the guidance and propulsion systems for the craft through electromagnetism.”

I listened to this interview between Art Bell and Col Philip Corso sometime just after I had completed a detailed yearlong series of monthly newsletters titled “Ezekiel’s Vision and the Last Days.” The series began in August 2015 and ended in July 2016. When I heard Col Corso tell Art Bell during the interview that the bodies of the aliens were “the guidance and propulsion systems for the craft through electromagnetism,” my attention was immediately drawn back to Ezekiel’s account of the angelic beings he saw, including their “wheels:”

“They went every one straight forward, whether the spirit was to go, they went, and they turned not when they went…and the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning…and when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them, and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up” Ezekiel 1:12, 14, 19.

Ezekiel 1, 3, 10 and 11 provide some descriptions of these angelic beings and their “wheels” that are fascinating and eerily similar to UFO sightings. Bear in mind, Ezekiel’s vocabulary didn’t include spacecraft, UFOs, flying saucers and electromagnetism. He used the terms “living creatures,” “wheels” and he said, “when the living creatures went up, the wheels went by them.” Is this not what Col Corso said in other terms? He said, “The bodies of the aliens were the guidance and propulsion systems.” Both men said basically the same thing using a different vocabulary.

The Word of God tells us concerning the last days,

“I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath; blood, fire and vapor of smoke” Acts 2:19.

“Great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, famines and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven” Luke 21:11.

Those signs are here now, friends.

Strange Fire

Strange Fire

Nadab and Abihu were the sons of Aaron, elected by God, according to their lineage, to be among the Royal Priesthood. They were fully qualified, ordained priests unto God and served in the Temple of God. One day, Nadab and Abihu got it into their pompous thinking that they could bring an offering before God, which was not ordained of God. The priests, appointed by God, starting with Aaron the High Priest, all the way down to the priests who attended the doors of the Temple of God, were given specific duties outlined by God Himself, starting with their responsibility to cleanse themselves at the laver (indicative of New Testament sanctification), to what types of garments to wear, what specific offerings to make upon the brazen altar, and so forth.

The Word of God tells us,

“Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in them and put incense on them and offered strange fire before the Lord, which He did not command them to do; and there went out fire from the Lord and devoured them and they died before the Lord” Leviticus 10:1-2 (emphasis added).

This is an aspect of God’s character that many people do not recognize. They want to talk about the love of God anytime, but when it comes to the Lord’s commandments and His requirement that we obey them, or face the consequences, people want to deny that characteristic of God.

Deny it all they may, God is to be feared. Old Testament and New Testament scriptures instruct us to fear God.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they who do His commandments; His praise endures forever” Psalm 111:10.

Jesus said,

“Fear not those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” Matthew 10:28.

This New Testament scripture is something many people who claim to be Christians work very hard at camouflaging and twisting, because they don’t want to believe in hell. They will even strike new meaning to what Christ said specifically about the body and soul being tormented in hell (because of sin), rather than believe in the Words of Jesus, which they feel are too negative to be true. Seventh-Day Adventists and “Jehovah’s” Witnesses do not believe in a literal hell, for example.

A “Jehovah’s” Witness said to me once, “God wouldn’t send anyone to hell; He wouldn’t do something like that.”

We need to remember this; anyone who twists the Word of God to conform to their own way of thinking is in grave danger, according to the Word of God.

Jesus said to John the Revelator:

“I testify unto every man who hears the Words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book; and if any man shall take away from the Words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book” Revelation 22:18-19.

In the same book, Revelation, Jesus told John:

“I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them, and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death (eternal death in the lake of fire). And whoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” Revelation 20:12-15.

Now given the warning in Revelation 22:18-19, about being removed out of the Book of Life, if anyone takes away from the things written in “this book” (the Book of Revelation), I believe it is a mighty fearful thing not to believe in hell and the lake of fire, or to try to remove that truth from the book!

Jeremiah also prophesied a warning to those who create their own path to walk in, their own way to pleasing God:

“Because my people have forgotten Me, they have burned incense to vanity and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up…I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will show them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity” Jeremiah 18:15, 17.

Some might say Nadab and Abihu’s strange fire relates only to Old Testament law, not the dispensation of grace. The following reveals some truth about God’s wrath in the New Testament and is a warning not to trifle with God, not to deal deceitfully concerning the things of God, or worse, lie to the Holy Ghost:

“A certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession and kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why has satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and keep back part of the price of the land? While it remained, was it not your own? After it was sold, was it not in your own power? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied unto men, but to God. Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and gave up the ghost (died on the spot), and great fear came on all those who heard these things. The young men arose, wound him up, carried him out and buried him. It was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what happened, came in. Peter asked her, Tell me whether you sold the land for so much? She said, Yes, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that you agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door and shall carry you out. She then fell down immediately at his feet and yielded up the ghost; and the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. Great fear came upon all the church, as many as heard these things” Acts 5:1-11.

The deaths of these two, Ananias and Sapphira, weren’t about money, or giving to the church. It was all about lying to God, and the consequences for doing such a thing. Ananias and Sapphira made a commitment to sell some property and donate all of the proceeds to God. Obviously, through the Spirit of discernment, or by revelation, Peter knew they decided to withhold part of the money they received for the property. Instead of modifying their pledge, which would have at least been the honest thing to do, they decided to lie about how much they received for the property, as if they were still donating the whole amount they received to God. They apparently felt so good about themselves, having donated whatever portion of the sale they were giving, they had no concern whatsoever about lying to the man of God about their donation.

God despised their deceitful giving, because it was given in the wrong spirit, in fact, they gave it in a lying spirit, which is evil. The Word of God tells us that there are six, actually seven things God hates, and one of those seven things is “a lying tongue” (Proverbs 6:16-19).

The ways of Nadab and Abihu and Ananias and Sapphira remind me of another passage of scripture:

“There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” Proverbs 14:12.

People have a lot of “wonderful” ideas about God, about what He likes and what He dislikes, about what He wants and what He doesn’t want, about what they think His Word says and about what they think His Word doesn’t say. This is evident by the fact that there are dozens of churches in many cities throughout the world, but they all teach a different doctrine.

There are only two eternal destinies in place: heaven, for those who know truth and obey it; and hell, for those who think they know truth, but talked themselves into believing fables (2 Timothy 4:1-4).

No prophecy is of private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20). In other words, no one scripture stands alone; it must be compared and measured against other scriptures. We are instructed to “rightly divide” the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). This means we have to know the whole Word, before we can rightly divide it, or measure its interpretation by other passages of scripture. Often, when you read a passage of scripture and you don’t understand it right away, the scripture will interpret itself, as you keep reading. Nevertheless, the same passage of scripture may have a different meaning if you isolate it from the rest of the Word. It is always critical to pray with a pure heart before God for the divine interpretation of His Word, and He promised to answer that prayer, when we seek Him with all of our hearts (Jeremiah 29:13).

Paul was called by God to be an evangelist and overseer of the Church of God. Before he set out on his ministry, he went to Arabia to hear the Words of Jesus Christ himself; he did not study under men. After all, men can twist the Word of God around horribly. Paul said to the brethren in Galatia,

“I certify to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not after man, for I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by revelation of Jesus Christ…When it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood, neither did I go up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me, but I went to Arabia and returned again to Damascus. Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter and abode with him fifteen days. I saw no other apostle, except James, the Lord’s brother” Galatians 1:11-12, 15-19 (emphasis added).

Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament, did not learn the things of God after the rudiments of men, but he went straight to the Source alone. Before he began ministering, he spent three years receiving revelations from Jesus, not of man.

I have heard some of the most outrageous doctrine from those who have graduated from “Bible” seminaries, because the curriculum is often based on man’s interpretation of the Word, not God’s divine revelation.

If you want real instruction, pray earnestly, and then go before the One and only source of real truth and that is the Lord Himself, “who gives freely and upbraids not” (James 1:5), just as the Apostles and Paul did.

Once you know the Word of God for yourself, then, and only then, you can identify false doctrine when you hear it, perhaps even from your pastor!

Jesus warned not once, not twice, but three times to beware of false teachers, false prophets and false Christs in Matthew 24, especially as we draw nearer to the Lord’s return.

When we stand before God on Judgment Day, pastors and teachers will answer to God for how they presented the Word of God to others. Everyone who heard them will stand alone before God, to answer to Him about why they believed those who lied, instead of reading the Word of God for themselves in order to know the truth.

Our eternal destiny hinges on knowing God’s Holy Word, to the best of our ability, and whether we obeyed it.

Are we offering acceptable sacrifices to God, or strange fire?

A Constant Warfare

The Apostle Paul said, “…I die daily” 1 Corinthians 15:31. He also said, “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me…” Galatians 2:20.

Just what did Paul mean when he said, “I die daily?”

Paul was in a constant spiritual warfare, and he knew that, by himself, he was no match for the powers of satan. He said he was “crucified with Christ,” but that he lived, yet not himself, but Christ lived in him.

So, Paul was dead and gone, but he said he lived, or rather Christ lived within him.

What Paul said was that his own nature, the carnal man, had to die “daily” in order for him to live a holy life for God. In other words, he wasn’t capable of living for God as a holy man, a minister of the gospel, an overseer of the church of God, even a martyr last of all; it was only because he allowed Christ to rule and reign in his mortal body that he could accomplish any of these things.

Paul told the saints in Rome,

“Let not sin, therefore, reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof” Romans 6:12.

Those who preach and teach Calvinism, once saved always saved, preach that message because they know they aren’t capable of living a holy life, which is absolutely true.

Calvinists miss a critical truth, however. When we surrender all to the Lord, and put on the whole armor of God for spiritual warfare, we are able to live as Christ lived. When we allow Christ to take control, that’s when we can be true “followers of Christ.”

Calvinists know, as I know, how frail we are; and certainly if we were capable of living a sinless life, Christ would not have had to come and pay the ultimate price for our sins, through His death on the cross of Calvary.

Nevertheless, Jesus left this message with all of us, not just His disciples:

“Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me” Matthew 16:24.

What’s this, “deny himself?” What is this, “take up his cross;” what cross?

Those two issues are why the wanna-be Christians, who instead of “denying themselves” and “taking up their crosses,” say they can’t live holy, no one can live holy, so I’m home free because I repented, I received Jesus, and that one act of repentance covered all of my sins, past, present and FUTURE.

Saint John preached to church members, not sinners,

“My little children, these things I write unto you, that you sin not, and if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” 1 John 2:1.

The message here is that there is no such thing as repentance for future sins. Repentance covers all past sins; but if we fall again, we need to repent again and ask the Lord to wash away our sins by the precious blood of Jesus.

Jesus further expounded on this to the church, when He appeared to John and gave him a message for the seven churches in Asia. His message to the church in Ephesus was as follows:

“I know your works and your labor and your patience, and how you cannot bear those who are evil, and you have tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars, and have borne and had patience and, for My name’s sake, have labored and have not fainted. Nevertheless, I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love. Remember, therefore, from whence you have fallen and repent, and do the first works, or else I will come unto you quickly and will remove your candlestick out of his place, except you repent” Revelation 2:2-5.

Out of the seven churches in Asia, Jesus reproved five of them and told them to repent, because they were allowing sin of some sort in their lives. He also warned the church in Sardis:

“Be watchful and strengthen the things which remain that are ready to die (spiritually), for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast and repent. If you will not watch, I will come on you as a thief and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names in Sardis which have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white raiment and I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels” Revelation 3:2-5.

Did you catch that? He who overcomes will not have his name blotted out of the Book of Life. This means that once your name is written in the Book of Life, it can be blotted out!

In fact, Revelation 2-3 totally refutes the doctrine of eternal security (once saved always saved), as do many other scriptures throughout the Word of God.

We are in a constant spiritual battle against our enemy and we need to take heed.

“Therefore, let him who thinks he stands, take heed, lest he fall” 1 Corinthians 10:12.

Paul wrote to the church members at Ephesus:

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” Ephesians 6:10-12.

“To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and have set down with My Father in His throne” Revelation 3:21.

We can’t even try to fight spiritual warfare in own strength.  We must go into the battle daily with the strength of Christ and we will win!

No child of God should start out the day without putting on the whole armor of God:

“Therefore, take unto yourself the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand, therefore, having your loins grit about with TRUTH, and having on the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS, and your feet shod with the preparation of the GOSPEL OF PEACE; above all, taking the shield of FAITH, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked; and take the helmet of SALVATION and the sword of the SPIRIT, which is the WORD OF GOD; PRAYING ALWAYS with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and WATCHING thereunto with all PERSERVERANCE and supplication for all saints” Ephesians 6:13-18.

Matthew 25 tells us what will happen if we are not prepared.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Francis Bribard, secretary to cardinal de Pellay (of the Catholic “church”), for speaking in favor of the reformed (Protestants), had his tongue cut out and was then burnt in AD 1545. James Cobard, a schoolmaster in the city of St Michael was burnt in AD 1545, for saying, “Mass was useless and absurd,” and about the same time, 14 men were burnt at Malda by Catholics, their wives being made to stand by and watch the executions.

The Catholic Church has never issued an apology for the crimes committed during the Inquisition and the brutal murders of Protestant Christians who denounced papal authority, denied Purgatory, the selling of indulgences in sin, the worship of idols, prayers to the saints and the Virgin Mary. Neither has any reparation been made to the heirs of the saints who suffered such persecutions from the Catholic Church. Protestants were brutally murdered by Catholics by way of burning them alive at the stake, flaying alive, hangings, cutting them to pieces, burying them alive, drowning, torturing them on the rack, whereby bones were broken and bodies ripped apart, beheading them, etc… The property and assets were seized of those heinously murdered by the Catholic Church from about the Twelfth Century through around the 1820s. The Vatican sits atop the blood of the saints. Revelation 18 describes her brutal end for heresies and having committed such abominable crimes.

Satan Is Under Our Feet – On the Ancient Paths

Jesus taught that the broad street in life leads to destruction, but the strait and narrow path leads to everlasting life:

“Enter in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many there be which go in thereat; because strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leads unto life (eternal life) and few there be that find it” Matthew 7:13-14.

Jesus informed us here that most of the world’s inhabitants wish to go down a sinful path and avoid following Him on the strait and narrow path that leads to life everlasting. He said, “…few there be that find it.”

Most people, even many who call themselves “Christians” today, do not like the constraints of living holy.

Jesus said,

“He who takes not his cross and follows after Me, is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life shall lose it, and he that loses his life for My sake shall find it” Matthew 10:38-39.

Yes, there are things to give up, to deny one’s self, in order to follow Christ, but they aren’t worth mentioning compared to eternal life, are they?

The Lord is telling us here that if we seek after our own desires in life, searching for our own fulfillment, we will certainly lose our lives (eternally); but if we forsake all, if necessary, to do the will of God in this world, we will gain heaven and rewards unspeakable forever (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Paul explains it very well, as he described Moses’s sacrifice to do the will of God and gain heaven:

“By faith Moses, when he was come to years (emancipated), refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt, for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward. By faith, he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king, for he endured, as seeing Him who is invisible” Hebrews 11:24-27.

This life lasts for only a moment compared to eternity. Is there really anything so pleasurable, for that moment, that is worth spending eternity in hell for? The answer is quite simple, yet so many people, even many who call themselves “Christians,” take the wrong path.

Why are so many people deceived?

Do you believe that all the people who call themselves “Christians” (approximately 2.2 billion) are entering heaven simply because they name the name of Christ?

Jesus said,

“This people (speaking of the hypocrites) draw near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me” Matthew 15:8.

Apostle Peter said,

“If the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?” 1 Peter 4:18.

Notice that Peter made a distinction between the “ungodly” and the “sinner.” He didn’t refer to all of the unsaved people as “ungodly.” He referenced both, because some people do not claim God as their God, so they are “ungodly;” but the “sinner” might claim that God is their God, yet continue in sin, thus they aren’t denying the existence of God, or that they are servants of God, but they are “sinners” because they continue in sin.

This means, folks, that sin will separate us from God. That is a fact that Calvinists and many others who claim to be “Christians” refuse to believe. They refuse to believe it because they simply don’t want to quit sinning. These want God, and sin at the same time; they want to walk the broad path.

Through prayer and spending a lot of time in God’s Word, learning at the feet of Jesus every day, He has given me guidance on how to overcome.

I asked the Lord to help me overcome temptation and accomplish one primary thing, above all else, and that is to live pleasing in His sight. In response, one of the things He has shown me is that I need to seek the “ancient paths.”

The Word of the Lord came to the Prophet Jeremiah, saying,

“Because My people have forgotten Me, they have burned incense to vanity, which has caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in a way not cast up, to make their land desolate and a perpetual hissing. Everyone that passes by shall be astonished and wag his head” Jeremiah 18:15.

In other words, because of vanity, pride and self will, people are stumbling from the ancient paths, and they are walking a broad path not cast up for them by God, what many might refer to today as the “old fashioned ways.”

God never changes. He is the same today, yesterday and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

The youth especially might say, That’s boring!

Albeit, I know young kids and young adults who love to pray and serve the Lord, because they are experiencing God on a level many Christians don’t know about. These kids were raised in holiness churches and today they have spiritual dreams and visions, they speak in tongues, as the apostles did on the day of Pentecost, when the Spirit of the Lord was poured out (Acts 2), and they sincerely find that serving the Lord is a constant “high,” if you will. They have the spiritual insight to understand that getting drunk, getting high on drugs and getting pregnant before they are old enough to marry, lead down the paths to destruction.

Apostle Peter prophesied:

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams” Acts 2:17.

This is happening in certain places, among certain people who walk the ancient paths. It is happening among those who love God with all of their heart, with all of their mind and with all of their strength; they have no delight in the things of the world, but rather desire the presence of God above anything else in this world.

Peter also said concerning these who walk the ancient paths:

“You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” 1 Peter 2:9.

The Lord has also taught me patience. As described in Acts 1-2, the apostles and others, a group of about 120, were waiting for the Holy Ghost to fill them with power for service, the Comforter that was promised by Jesus (John 14:26), and they had to “tarry” in Jerusalem (Luke 24:49). Sometimes God works quickly, and at other times our faith is tested and we have to wait, as the apostles did for the promise of the Holy Ghost. I have learned to wait on God for His best gifts, for revelation and for His promises. I had been praying several hours when I received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of about 14. Two faithful saints of God prayed with me until around midnight. As we were silently praying through the night, it was as though lightning suddenly hit me when the Holy Ghost fell. Yes, I have learned to have patience and wait on the Lord.

King David also learned to wait on the Lord (Psalms 27:14).

If you wish to overcome, it is necessary to walk the ancient paths, not a in a “way not cast up” by God. The prophets and the apostles walked the ancient paths. These paths lead to holiness and consecration, and they are unknown to the world. In fact, the world abhors the ancient paths.

You can only place satan under your feet on the ancient paths paved by God.

Now, these kids know how to have a great time serving the Lord:
