How Can I Be Saved?

BEHOLD I STAND AND KNOCK - BING FREE

The Word of God tells us,

“All have sinned and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23.

The Bible also tells us,

“The wages of sin is death” Romans 6:23.

God is a holy God and the only way we can be reconciled to Him is through holiness, but we aren’t holy; all of us have sinned.  This is why God sent Jesus, His only begotten Son, to pay the price of death for our sins, so those who receive Him, Jesus, as their Savior, can have forgiveness and eternal life.

John 3:16 says,

“God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”

There are at least 668 prophecies in the Bible which have already been fulfilled. Some prophecies concerning the coming of Christ are thousands of years old; they have been documented, dated and they have come to pass.  Isaiah wrote about 700 years before the birth of Christ,

“Unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father (John 1:1-3, John 1:14, 1 John 5:7), The Prince of Peace” Isaiah 9:6.

This is just one of so many.  Another Old Testament scripture in Micah 5:2 says,

“Thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me that is to be ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting.”

This was another prophecy written about 700 years before Christ concerning the city of His birth.

Jesus said of Himself,

“I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no man comes to the Father, but by Me” John 14:6.

If you want to be saved and receive eternal life, you need only to say a simple prayer and mean it; something like this:  “God, please forgive me of all of my sins.  I believe that your Son, Jesus, died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins, and I receive Him as my Lord and Savior, in Jesus’s name I pray (all prayers must be prayed ‘in the name of Jesus’).”

If you prayed this type of prayer, God has forgiven your sins and His Spirit will come into your heart and life.  He will give you new life through the sacrifice Jesus paid for your sins, and His Spirit will dwell in you and guide you, as you yield yourself to His will.

The Word of God tells us,

“If any man be in Christ Jesus (receives Him as Savior and yields him/herself to God’s will), he is a new creature; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new” 2 Corinthians 5:17.

If you received Jesus as your Savior, it is important that you pray and read the Bible daily, while asking God for the divine interpretation.  You can find the Bible online at www.BibleGateway.com (various versions, but I recommend the New King James Version for new Christians, King James Version for seasoned Christians), and you can also find study helps online at this link:  www.BibleStudyTools.com. I highly recommend the Matthew Henry Commentary on the Whole Bible (Concise for new Christians, or the Complete for seasoned Christians).  Jesus promised,

“I will never leave you or forsake you” Hebrews 13:5.

It is important to fellowship with other Christians, but it is equally as important to make absolute certain that the church, or fellowship group you attend, believes the true doctrine of Christ, as taught in the Bible. It is important to compare what the minister/teacher preaches with the Word of God.

Jesus warned His disciples about the first signs of the last days (Matthew 24),

“Take heed that no man deceive you, for many shall come in My name, saying, ‘I am Christ,’ and shall deceive many…And many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many…If any man shall say unto you, ‘Lo, here is Christ,’ or there, believe it not, for false Christs shall rise and false prophets, who shall show great signs and wonders (by the power of satan), insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before; therefore, if they shall say unto you, ‘Behold, he is in the desert,’ go not forth; ‘Behold, he is in the secret chambers,’ believe it not; for as the lightning comes out of the east and shines even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man (Jesus) be.” Matthew 24:4-5; 24:11, 24:23-27.

I have included links to ministries which have programs and good Bible teaching online:

John Hagee Ministries: jhm.org (you can also find John Hagee sermons on YouTube.com  search for “John Hagee sermons”)

Perry Stone Ministries (for in depth and prophecy teachings): https://www.perrystone.org/manna-fest/

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining shall surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth (Revelation 20:12-15)? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Please surrender your heart to God – your eternal destiny depends on it. God bless you.

All written publications on this site may be copied and shared for evangelistic and educational purposes. Did Jesus say, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature — and make sure you copyright it?!” I think not.

God bless you with the Light of the world.
